Donald, the fluffy, six-week-old eaglet, is making a full recovery after a daring tree-top rescue that is allowing him to compete for meals with his two siblings.

It was an exciting day!!

Jeff Krieger from Alternative Wildlife Solutions releases an eagle from Westy Too a water taxi volunteered for the release by owned by Reg Kirkham near Thieves Bay on Pender Island. The eagle was being put into a supported position before it took off into the wind and returned into what was believed to be it's nest near by. A male eagle in a tree near by screeched as the female made it's way back to the area. Nobody wants a raccoon family living under their deck, but relocating the pesky critters can be a death sentence for the mother and her young.
